SESAR Deployment Manager visits BULATSA

This week, the Director General of BULATSA Mr. Georgi Peev welcomed our Executive Director Mariagrazia La Piscopia to exchange on SESAR deployment & how to improve modernizing EU ATM AsOne team.

This visit is part of our outreach tour, aiming at listening to local needs, sharing insights & strengthening cooperation.

"It was a very good initiative which allowed us to discuss ATM modernization and digitalization through SESAR deployment using also EU funds and how BULATSA can further contribute in making the European skies more sustainable", stated Mr. Peev.

It was a great pleasure to see on site that BULATSA is compliant with Common Project One (CP1) and to witness many other ATM modernization projects in place contributing to sustainability making SES an operational reality.

The visit to the Operations room made clear that thanks to SESAR deployment, Bulgaria has dynamic air traffic management in place also supported by tCAT (assessing traffic complexities and the best sector configurations in Sofia ACC based on traffic prediction from various sources).
This is even more valuable when dealing with the volatility of traffic due to closures of big portions of airspace

This and many more ATM modernization and digitalization projects implemented by BULATSA bring real benefits to ATM in EU improving service quality, business resilience and safety.
 
SESAR deployment is happening and delivering results & benefits contributing to the success of the SES
