Question to EASA: Should EC approve the exemptions recommended by EASA Report, whom will approve these exemptions: EASA or NAAs?

EASA has provided the DLS exemptions report with a proposal for the European Commission (EC) to consider. Taking into account EASA’s proposal, the EC will decide on the amendment to the regulation IR (EU) No 29/2009 and will provide a consolidated decision on aircraft models/types to be exempted. Based on the outcome of the adopted amendment to the DLS IR and the future consolidated decision on the Article 14 aircraft exemptions, it is recommended that the operator notifies their Competent Authority (NAA) of the aircraft operated that are subject to the exemptions conditions of the revised DLS IR or the published consolidated decision.
